Pretty City London
Discovering Londons Beautiful Places
By Siobhan Ferguson

I have been following Siobhan Ferguson’s Series of Instagram pages for quite a few years now. While I was living in London this book helped inspire me to go out wandering around London on my days off.
Pretty city London was the first book published stemming from the Instagram page, and is a coffee table style book highlighting some of Londons best, less touristy, hidden places from beautiful mews, shops, laneways, buildings and cafes to village like suburbs of London.
The book is broken up into sections with photography tips, a bucket list, seasonal London and the main section, comprising of majority central and west London.
Each section starts with a gorgeous illustration of a map of the boroughs the chapter is written on, coupled with beautiful photos throughout the book.
Within you will find a suggested route to explore, the best parts of the boroughs, along with suggestions of instagram hotspots, cages and shops that fit perfectly into the Pretty city vibe.

Whenever I look at this book, it always reminds me of London in spring. The cherry blossoms are out, beautiful purple patches of Wisteria are blooming suddenly there are flowers hanging from every lamp post and large flower pot stands on every footpath through the main streets of west London.
The parks are lush and green with people sprawled out on the grass enjoying the sun after a long dark winter. Stores, cafes and pubs are suddenly enshrouded with flowers and plants and the photography in this book captures it all.
I highly recommend this book if you like coffee table books, London, beautiful photos, if your planning a trip to London, live in London or you just enjoy pretty things in life.
